Everywhere you go, people want results, services, or commodities provided to them at their greatest convenience. People want it now and they do not want to inconvenienced in getting it. Combine that dynamic with the fact that more and more couples are separated by long distances, and you will find people or agencies providing solutions. On the extreme end of this continuum exists double proxy marriages. A double proxy marriage permits two people to become legally married without being in the same room or even present in any fashion. This process is not recognized in Florida or in any other state in the country, except Montana, where a cottage industry has developed. To learn more about this process, please view the New York Times article.
